Kansas City
Kansas City wedding DJ
Kansas City wedding dates are booked by WNB Lighting & Sound from Jefferson City. There is no separate Kansas City rate card. Travel is quoted because the metro is beyond the included 40 miles round-trip.
What stays the same in Kansas City
Woodnbird Entertainment LLC is the company, Lee McKinney is the owner, and the phone is (573) 340-9623. Wedding, corporate, and private packages keep the published non-peak and peak prices. Peak months are September through December. A 50% deposit locks the date for DJ and lighting and for photography or videography. The quote form asks for the date, the location, and the package so travel can be priced for that room.
Plan the package around the hours you need in the city, not around a different menu. If ceremony and reception are the same day, Custom’s 8 hours is the block that usually covers both, with a wireless mic and MC included. Premium is 6 hours when the room only needs the reception window plus a short ceremony. Standard is 4 hours when you only need the dance and a wired mic.
Packages to price before you call
Wedding Standard is $900 non-peak or $1,100 peak. Premium is $1,800 non-peak or $2,100 peak and adds enhanced sound, a wireless mic, enhanced lighting, MC, and playlists. Custom is $3,000 non-peak or $3,300 peak and includes enhanced plus atmospheric lighting and a photo booth with prints. Mega is $5,400 non-peak or $5,700 peak and adds an 8-hour LED video wall. Extra time is $175 an hour, or $275 an hour on the LED wall.
Atmospheric wedding lighting lives inside Custom and Mega. Do not also add the corporate $200 uplighting line unless the event is actually a corporate booking. Corporate Standard in Kansas City is still 3 hours at $1,000 non-peak or $1,300 peak. Full-day corporate is 8 or more hours at $3,200 non-peak or $3,500 peak. Private Standard is 3 hours at $600 non-peak or $800 peak if the Kansas City date is a birthday or reunion rather than a wedding.
Photo, video, and the next step
Photography is $1,100 for up to 4 hours or $1,800 for up to 8 hours, with an online gallery. The 8-hour photo package includes an engagement session. Videography is $1,200 or $2,000 for those same hour blocks and includes an edited recap. The 8-hour combo is $3,500 and saves $300. A 50% deposit applies to those dates too, and the 40-mile round-trip inclusion is the same rule as the DJ side. Kansas City travel is quoted on top.
Look through wedding packages, then send the quote with the Kansas City date and the hours you want held. Gallery work includes wedding portraits, a MOVHA conference, an Airbnb event, and films titled The Dusheke's, THE VANDERHOFF'S, and THE TOEBBEN'S. The public rating on Google is 5.0 from 30 reviews, and Jefferson City Magazine listed the company 2nd Best DJ for City’s Best 2026.
